facilitation work for GIT
This week i worked on a graphic facilitation project. This worked was base on GIT and i chose to draw for it.
Git… What is it ?
>Git is a version-control system for tracking changes in computer files and coordinating work on those files among multiple people. It is primarily used for source-code management in software development, but it can be used to keep track of changes in any set of files. As a distributed revision-control system, it is aimed at speed, data integrity, and support for distributed, non-linear workflows.
The challenge was to find a way to illustrate a source-code management. So i decided to draw a step by step enigmatic quest and yarn it like I felt it when i experiment it for the 1st time.
This is an expert maintenance technician who have to enter the sewer to send is report but he will have to overcome many setbacks.
When he goes down, at the first step he has to do is to activate the password to unlock the armour-plated door but when he cross it, the door close back. He is alone in the dark and start to be frightened and get cold for some good reasons, ghosts step out from the shadow. He had no choice to run away from them and the ghosts fade to dark.
After breaking the speed worldrecord by far, he was looking for the console but it vanished so he decide to look around. Some minute later he faces a big monitoring console that block the way, he finally find it but wasn’t its place so he must pull it.
When he put console back he check the status at first then try to add his report but the console asking for more config but he forget about it. He remembered that config was somewhere around and start to look for it. When he found it, he turn back to the console, enter the config, add his report and send it.
Now he has to leave this place but he mush push the console to the other slot.
Everything was fine and he don’t find problems to get out.
This story represent my feeling. I don’t like code so the control system software is the sewer and the technician are people who are like me. I mean who doesn’t like code. But we have to do it, we have to commit this way, try to deal with it. Fortunatly, we have good professor who are lightening your way and prevent us to fall down. Your ghosts can be avoid, we can do it step by step even if we have to pass more time than the others.
At the end, code is not so harder.
I choose mono colour and variation of it to focus the message to not get lost.
This is my graphic facilitation :
So do you get it ?
