organization

The goal of this week was to see how to organize our different files for our future project. The way to do it is to define the priorities, for being able to manage our time and work better.

organization for a project

The project is the game from Hugues. For getting organized over time, we need a schedule;

  • First of all, we need to define what we need for the game. This part has already be done by Hugues; there is the number of characters, backgrounds... We just need to define them.
  • Then, they're the designs. Before creating a character or a background, we need to know how it should look like.
  • We also need to work on the most important assets first. NPC are less important than the main character for example, and so this NPC will be at the end of the priority list.
  • Then we need to work on what's around the game; the titlescreen, the scenes...
  • Next we must work on details; the character animation is an example.
  • Finally,when the most important things are done, we can rework some parts; adding more details who can make the game better looking, more alive.

For the organization of the different files, this picture show what the game file could looks like at the end:
