How to integrate sound in a video game ?

The theory

This week we used to have theorical courses of the origin of sounds, how to create sounds and differents ways to integrate them in a video game. It was very interesting and helpful to see different ways to use sounds.

The practice

Last year, I used to create some musics with a software (LMMS), it's really near and even better than the software (MULAB) we see this week. Therefore, I didn't create musics this week and focus on how to integrate a sound in GODOT.

My purpose was to have dynamic evolution of the sound inside a level. I reach my goal this way :

1st, the music was split in 2 parts. The first part is unique when we entered the level. The second part could be use to loop all the time. So I split the music in two parts, and made the second part loops in the way we see in our course.

2nd, by code and signals inside GODOT I reach to launch the first part a single time and after that launch the second part in an infinite loop.

3rd, I would evolve the sound in another inside the level, so I made a connector inside GODOT and when the player go trough it, it stops the loop and begin another sound.

So it works and could be very interesting using it for SFX or other background sounds.
