Happy New Stuff !

Hope everyone had a great chrismas holidays, and i wish you all a creative and perfect year 2018 !
New year, new stuff, but also the end of somes projects that i loved in this festive season, let's go for it !

End of the asset wars

The past month we were supposed to work on our own to finish the exiting projects we were working on for the past two weeks i already talked about !

The situation was tense because i had to face many problems and i was really on my own trying to find the solutions, with the deadline coming closer and closer !

Thanks god i had my two game dev to help me with ideas or solutions =)

Nutzy

I still had a lot of work on Hugues's project, and as i already talked so much about it, i will leave you with all the images of the last assets i did, including grounds, skys, branches, bushes, plants and animals!

I also did the trees that the little nutzy will climb on, but the tree trunk separated from the branches ! here are the images :

To help you imagine what it could look like, i made a little composition with all the assets to help me figure out the colors and shapes :

Hugues also wanted some scenes for the end of the four levels, i was free to imagine what i wanted, and i endend up having so much fun and creating cute family scenes :

So, here is are all my works for the last two weeks of december for the Game Winter Is Coming ! 
it was very intense, but sooo interesting and full featured, thanks Hugues for your trust :)

Arcadia

Valentin also needed some stuff for his game, that gave both of us headaches , he wanted animated frames with transparency to create an arcade effet for his mini-games screen. I tried and tried so many times, doing the same things over and over to find a solution, and finally , after days of researche, we achieved our goal !

I will also thank Valentin for his help patience and trust, of course,
that was all new and sometimes hard, but very pleasant to do :)

Ergonomy

This week, it was all about a new world for me : ergonomy of games. of course it interests me when i play, but i never had to work on this thing, EVER ! So it was a total discovery of the laws and the important things to remember to target a demographic and find solutions !

I chose to work on the game Battle for wesnoth that i personaly find absolutely atrocious (no more, no less!)

So i ended up creating two models for new gamers that want to try the game and to help them understanding all the information of a complex strategy game !

On both of the models, i chose to group four types of informations together !

first

The resources : including gold, maintenance costs, incomes, units number, and villages number !

second

The temporal indications : the round numbers, time left to play, and the moment of the day

third

The spacial indications : the map, the X/Y positioning and the fields' type

fourth

The units information including the image of the unit you have selected, and also all of its information(life, level, etc)
